Description
The Automatic Load Control Relay (ALCR) is a UL 924 listed emergency device that is powered from an always-available normal / emergency source fed by an upstream emergency transfer switch. The ALCR provides power to emergency lighting load(s) by bypassing switches or other controls upon loss of utility power and ensuring a “lights on state” during loss of normal power while tracking the state of normal lighting loads during normal operation.
In the DIN rail mount model, the ALCR also includes a method of accomplishing the same emergency functionality for directly- controlled 0-10V fixtures or ballasts. An integral relay positively disconnects 0-10V control upon loss of utility power assuring a “lights-on” override for both line voltage and 0-10V controlled emergency fixtures.
