It is a bidirectional mechanical connector that can convert either a 5-pin female connector to a 3-pin male or a 3-pin female connector to a 5-pin male. This allows you to cable a DMX network even when the controller and devices use different XLR connectors. Not designed for audio use, this turnaround supports DMX signals.
